The agreement between you and lofispot when you use it, in plain words.

Who we are

lofispot (www.lofispot.app) is a calm room to focus in: a focus timer, tasks, music and sounds, scenes and a log of your study time, in a web browser. It is made and run from India by Rupesh Kashyap, its independent maker, as lofispot (“we”, “us”). You can reach us at lofispot10@gmail.com.

Using lofispot

By using lofispot you agree to these terms and to our privacy policy, which says what we keep and why. If you don’t agree, please don’t use lofispot.

Who can use it

lofispot is for people 13 and over. If you are under 18, please use it with a parent’s or guardian’s permission, and ask them before buying anything.

Your account

You can use lofispot without an account. Signing in with Google keeps your room in step across your devices. Keep your Google account secure: what happens under your sign-in is treated as you. An account is for one person.

What you make is yours

Your tasks, notes, sessions and settings belong to you. We keep them only to run lofispot for you, as the privacy policy describes. You can save a copy at any time with “Download my data” in the You card, and ask us to remove what we hold.

lofispot cloud and payments

lofispot is free, all of it. The one thing that costs money is lofispot cloud, which keeps your work in the cloud on every device. It is $4.99 for a year, which simply ends 365 days later. Nothing renews. If you add another year before it ends, it starts where the first one stops. Anyone who bought lofispot for good before keeps it for good.

The price is shown before you pay. lofispot cloud is sold by our reseller, Dodo Payments, the merchant of record for the purchase, on its own secure checkout; it adds any sales tax or VAT your country charges, and its own terms of sale apply alongside these. We never see or keep your card or bank details. lofispot cloud belongs to the Google account you bought it with, on every device where you sign in with that account.

Refunds and cancellation

You can have a full refund within 14 days of paying, no questions asked. Nothing renews or charges you again, so there is nothing to cancel. How to ask, and how long it takes, is on the refunds page.

Delivery

lofispot cloud is digital. Nothing is shipped: it switches on on your account as soon as the payment is confirmed. The delivery page has the details.

Study rooms

A study room shares the name you choose and whether you are focusing with the people in it. Be kind there. Don’t use a name or a cheer to harass, threaten or insult anyone, to impersonate someone, or to post anything hateful, sexual or unlawful. A host can remove people from their room, and anyone can report someone. We may close a room or stop someone from using rooms when these rules are broken.

Fair use

Use lofispot for your own focus and study. Please don’t:

• try to break, overload or get around how lofispot works, including lofispot cloud;
• copy, scrape or resell lofispot or its content;
• use lofispot for anything unlawful or harmful.

Music, videos and other services

The music and scenes you play come from YouTube, and from Spotify if you choose it. They belong to their creators and play under those services’ own terms; we don’t own them and can’t promise they will stay available. Sign-in is by Google and payments by Dodo Payments, each under its own terms. Some sounds are recordings from Freesound, credited on the about page.

Our work

lofispot itself, its name, its icon, Patol and his valley, its words, art and code, belong to us. You may use lofispot, share links to it and show it in your own videos and posts; please don’t copy it to make another product.

If lofispot changes

We keep improving lofispot, so features may change, move or be retired. If we ever close lofispot, we will say so in the room at least 30 days ahead, so you can download your data.

No guarantees

We work to keep lofispot running and your data safe, but we offer it as it is, without promising it will always be available, uninterrupted or free of mistakes. Keep a copy of anything important with “Download my data”.

Limits of liability

As far as the law allows, we are not responsible for indirect losses, such as lost time, grades, work or income, and our total responsibility to you is limited to what you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing here takes away rights you have under consumer law that cannot be taken away.

Ending your use

You can stop using lofispot at any time, and ask us to remove what we hold about you. We may suspend or end access for someone who seriously or repeatedly breaks these terms, and we will tell you why where we can.

Law and disputes

These terms follow the laws of India, and the courts of India decide any dispute about them. Most things are sorted by an email, so please write to us first; complaints are acknowledged within 48 hours.

Changes to these terms

When these terms change, the date at the top changes too. For a change that matters, we will also say so in the room before it applies. Using lofispot after a change means you accept the new terms.
